The Master in Business Administration, part time MBA is a business management programme with a large practical component that allows students to develop both a comprehensive understanding of businesses and the business environment, and management skills.

IDEC scholarships

• Entrepreneurial scholarship: This scholarship aims to provide training to individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit who would like to extend their training in order to set up a business project.
• Female executive scholarship: The incorporation of women into the working world is a fact, but not so their access to executive positions. According to different studies only three out of every ten executive posts are occupied by women. This scholarship is aimed at changing this tendency and helping women to gain access to executive positions.
• Key Sectors scholarships: The business fabric is changing and there are some sectors which will be key to economic growth in coming years. IDEC would like to contribute by offering assistance to individuals who are developing their careers in these sectors.
  • Key sectors: The Food Industry, Architecture and Design, The Automobile Industry, Biotechnology, Audiovisual Communication, Consultancy, Legal and Financial Services, Energy, The Pharmaceutical and Health Industry, ICT and Tourism and Leisure.
• Collaboration scholarships: The aim of this assistance is to help candidates with good academic and professional profiles who are not currently working to gain access to our programme.

• Phase 1: 1st April

• Phase 2: 1st June
  • Resolution. 10th June
• Phase 3: 1st September
  • Resolution: 10th September

50% of the scholarships will be given in the first phase and the remaining 50% will be distributed over phases 2 and 3.

How to apply for a scholarship

The awarding of these scholarships will bear in mind candidates' academic performance, professional career and any other information which makes it possible to evaluate their capacity to benefit most from the programme.

The Scholarship Commission will take into account the candidates' academic and professional recommendations.

Scholarship application process:

1. Completion of the admissions process and acceptance on to the programme.
2. Formal scholarship application via a letter explaining the reasons why, according to the candidate, he or she deserves a scholarship, specifying the scholarship applied for. This letter should be sent to the following e-mail address: mba@idec.upf.edu indicating as its subject: Scholarship application.

The Master in Business Administration, part time MBA is aimed at university graduates with a minimum of three years' work experience who wish to boost their professional career.
